Established in 2004, CCGI’s mission is to prepare a new generation of leaders by
building a platform for leadership development and innovative project initiatives.
The focus is to establish computer learning centers in Jamaica and throughout the
Caribbean. To raise funds to support its cause, CCGI will host a series of events
in Montego Bay, Jamaica, beginning on June 18th and ending on June 22nd. In addition
to the popular golf tournament, one of the featured events for 2008 will be a Live
Muay Thai fight.
Muay Thai, aka, Thai Kickboxing, is of the most exciting forms of fighting on the
international scene. This “first time ever event” will feature top ranked fighters
from across the globe defending their titles. Muay Thai originated in Thailand and
has long since become the country’s national sport. It is known as the “Art of the
Eight Limbs,” however, in its original form, Muay Thai consisted of an arsenal of
nine weapons; the head, fists, elbows, knees and feet, which are all extensively
used. This tangent of fighting has captured the attention of millions worldwide
and has garnered many die-hard fans.
The evening will be streamed live and made available to a worldwide audience via
pay per view. Pre-fight activities to include a cultural festival and weigh-in,
plus the unveiling of winners from the global “Choose Your Ring Girl” contest. The
event will culminate with a grand Gala where fight fans can participate in a live
auction featuring fighter memorabilia.
Don’t miss this knock-out/hole-in-one event.
